About me

Associate Professor of Computer Science with a Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology Beijing.

I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Faculty of Science, Zagazig University, Egypt, and a faculty member at the College of Computer Science & Information Technology, King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, where I coordinate the M.Sc. program in Computer Science.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2017, with a thesis on behavior-based access control for securing cloud infrastructure. I then spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Guangzhou University, working on cloud and IoT security and privacy.

My research has been funded by Saudi Arabia's National Cybersecurity Authority, the Ministry of Education and King Faisal University. Much of it applies security research to real systems in agriculture, energy and healthcare.

I am an IEEE member, a certified CompTIA Security+ trainer, and recipient of the Publons Top Reviewer in Computer Science award (2018), with more than 220 verified peer reviews on Web of Science. I work in Arabic, English and Chinese.
